The glitter and confetti fall I see a man I coached hard his whole career holding up the Super Bowl MVP award. I finally see Jerome with that tear in his eye, the good one. I have accomplished so much since I have been here. I remember when we were struggling to beat the browns, now our offense is dominate and I love to feel that it is somewhat because of me.
I know its early but in my mind I know that it's time for me to move on. I've helped someone get to the superbowl and win it. I have taken the journey. Now it's time for me to get to the superbowl by myself. I feel that I'm ready.
The celebrations are over and I'm at home watching the NFL network, I see my name pop-up and become intrigued because I have given no interviews and from what i noticed I have been a behind the scenes coach. I didn't think anyone actually knew who I was. But there it is a highlight film of my career. I felt like a little kid seeing my pictures up there, they even got one of the few times I yelled at a guy.
I find myself as a passive guy because you look at it this way. If the guy in charge can't keep his cool, how do I expect everyone else to react? The most important leader on the field is the one off the field. A quote I created because i feel it's the best way to describe it. Next thing you know maybe a day or two later i recieve a call telling me to give the owner of the browns a call and I am surprised. I guess thier right its a year long job coaching is.
I didn't know what they wanted because they have a defensive guru in Romeo Crennel, but being plague with injuries and a quarterback mishapsand unlucky drafting for the past umm..well... ever. They might need someone to step in and get this Organization moving faster. I give the Browns organization a call first thing in the morning and A man picks up and is very excited ot hear from me. He introuduces himself and is very please to meet me.
He wants to get a better insight of what i really stand for and he ask for a question and answer session. I agree and the Interview starts. I'm feeling jittery, this jitter is just as bad as the one i got right before the superbowl. He clears his throat and continues with the questions.
His first question was:
To be continued...
